community involvement

• For the past six years, Chris Hill has planned and led an urban farm bike ride that attracts around 150 riders a year, and visits 12 to 15 urban farms in the city. The route and locations changes extensively each year. The event benefits Weavers Way Community Programs.
• Chris Hill has served actively for six years on the boards of Weavers Way Cooperative and Mill Creek Urban Farm. He has recently begun serving on the board of Marathon Farm@Master Street in the Brewerytown neighborhood.
• He has also volunteered for a variety of other organizations, including Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture, Common Market Local Food Distribution Initiative and Mid-Atlantic Food Cooperative Alliance (MAFCA)
• He's currently spearheading in effort to look into the feasibility of a co-working space in the Mt. Airy section of the city.
